Son Real Park: The Son Real public estate is a natural and historical treasure. It is located on the north east coast of Mallorca, on the motorway between Can Picafort and Artá. On its 395 hectares we find an ancient property, archaeological sites, a set of ecosystems with dunes and pine forests, ancient sand quarries, defence towers, 4 walking and 3 cycling routes, an exclusive horse riding route, an information office and free bicycle and binocular hire.
Son Real Necropolis: The Son Real Necropolis is located next to the sea in the area of Son Real. It can be accessed on foot from Son Bauló beach (approx. 3km) or from the Son Real public estate located on the Can Picafort – Artá motorway.
This is a necropolis which is unique in Mallorca and in the western Mediterranean of this period, due to the monumental tombs. It was used from the Iron Age until the Roman period. It is made up of over one hundred graves of different forms. 109 tombs have been conserved, in which the remains of around 300 individuals are located.
Sa Nineta Talayot: Located at the intersection of the Alcúdia-Artá motorway, at the entrance of the Son Serra de Marina area. It is a Talayotic site (c. 1300 B.C. approx.) in a very good state of conservation, which highlights the great square talayot located next to the motorway. The remains of large constructions built with blocks of stone cut with a very precise technique can also be observed.
S’Albufera Park: Also called s'Albufera de Mallorca and s'Albufera de Muro. Located at the centre of Bahía de Alcúdia, where JS Sol de Alcudia and JS Alcudi-Mar are found, over 1708.75 hectares of land. It is a wetland area with special protection for birds (over 200 species have been observed to date).
Santa Margalida Church: Located in the area of Santa Margalida, a few kilometres from our hotels in Can Picafort, the initial construction of the church dates to the 13th century, a few years after the Catalan conquest. However, the building today is a construction which was started in the 14th century and continued in the 15th and 16th centuries, following the gothic tradition of construction. Its facade is baroque, located at the end of a large staircase.
