Located in Bahía de Palma, the location of JS Palma Stay, Can Pastilla was one of the first resorts of the island, today retaining a special charm and unique history. It was one of the first areas to welcome foreign tourists. The neighbourhood of the current town of Can Pastilla began to form between 1920 and 1925. Bartomeu Riutort convinced the Ripoll brothers, owners of the Sa Torre Rodona estate, to assign a plot of land to the Catholic Church for the construction of a church.
The first plot, measuring 30 metres by 12, today makes up a part of the current square, in front of the church. Thus, Can Pastilla was born. Later, this plot was exchanged for another 970 square metres, enough for the church and rectory house. It was 1927 and Can Pastilla began to be the fishing port which it is today, crisscrossed by narrow streets in which you can get lost and seek refuge. Its pleasant climate invites you to go for long walks at night, as well as see the coast on its tourist train, from which we see the lights of the city shine.
The fine sand beach has areas for the most active aquatic sportspersons, allowing surfing, kitesurfing, and sailing, among other sports. This is a place which is attractive at first sight, and which captures the hearts of all those who visit the island of Mallorca in search of a unique holiday. In the evening the favourite activity is watching the sunset, making memories and enjoying Can Pastilla and Playa de Palma.
