Due to its natural landscapes, Alcudia is one of the most attractive areas on Mallorca. Nature still rules over this corner of the island. Its coast, mountains and marshes make this municipality a place full of surprises. Most of the territory of Alcudia is protected and preserved, like the S´Albufera Nature Park, only 4 km away from the Port of Alcudia.
These natural landscapes in the North of Mallorca are:
El Puig de la Victòria: This is a protected area with an extension of 1.198 hectares which forms a peninsula that seperates the bays of Pollença and Alcudia. On this rocky coast, dominated by cliffs, nature lovers will find a great variety of animal and plant species with considerable animal communities inhabiting both the coastal and mountain areas. In the middle of all this natural richness and beauty, at about 200 m altitude, stands the old Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de la Victoria, restored in the 17th century.
La Punta de Manresa: Near the Puig de la Victòria, you shall find this spectacular rocky coastline hiding small coves with gentle surfs and crystal clear waters worth admiring.
S´Albufereta: This wetland nature reserve is surrounded by orchards and drylands. In order to fully appreciate and enjoy this natural landscape in the North of Mallorca, we recommend an excursion of approximately 10 km. We suggest undertaking the tour by bicycle and to this purpose we would like to invite you to visit our Cycling Centre, equipped with all the necessary facilities.
Puig de San Martí: This protected area on the west slope of the range has a surface of 184,6 hectares and is mainly covered by beautiful pine forest. Special mention must be made to the San Martin Cave, where two protected bat species and other animal communities usually found in cliffs have their habitat. Several endemic and protected plant species can also be admired here. Should you be interested, please request information on the different groups organised to visit the area, either walking, by bicycle or on horseback. For the more adventurous visitors, there is access to the top, from where they can do paragliding and jump with a delta wing. For more information, please contact Hotel JS Alcudi-Mar.
Puig de Son Fe: This natural landscape in the North of Mallorca has an extension of 249 hectares. Its morphological characteristics, as well as its flora and fauna, are similar to those of Puig de San Martí.
